もののあはれ
This picture is beautiful but I think somewhat sad. It reminds me of 無常観. It is basic ideal in Japanese literature. Originally, 無常観 is Buddhist terms. It expresses the doctorine that evry living things must die and nothing remains unchanged. At its core is a deep and strong understanding to ephemeral beauty of human life. Therefore, it is usually accompanied by sadness.
In Heian period, 無常観 appears in literature as もののあはれ(mono no aware) It is an ideal mixed with elegant beauty and gentle melancholy to 無常観.
